For codependency, we uncover unhealthy patterns, setting healthier boundaries, and fostering more balanced, independent relationships.
Past negative experiences can begin to weigh on you and affect your day-to-day life, leaving you feeling overwhelmed, lost, or stuck. You might find yourself constantly worrying, noticing patterns in your relationships that are hard to break, or feeling like you’re the common denominator without fully understanding why. At times, things can feel so heavy that you wish you wouldn’t wake up, or that life felt at least a little more manageable. You don’t have to navigate that alone. I’m here to help.

Availability for weekly clients and intensives! Holding space for millennial women to let go of perfectionism, stop people-pleasing, and heal from the past. You feel stuck reliving the past and un-loveable despite "knowing" you are enough. You've done therapy before but found yourself feeling worse. Does this sound familiar? It's not all in your head. Trauma impacts our perspective and causes us to the see the present through the eyes of the past. This impacts everything from our relationships with friends, to sleep and our performance at work. However, healing is possible if we know how to go about healing it.

You are exhausted—mentally, emotionally, and physically. You show up for everyone else but rarely feel seen or cared for in return. On the outside, you seem fine, but inside, you’re overwhelmed and disconnected. You crave deep connection yet lose yourself trying to keep relationships intact. You’re the one everyone relies on, but when you need support, no one is there. You’ve prayed, sought advice, and tried self-care, yet you still feel stuck in pain. You’re ready to break free from unhealthy patterns, regain control, and finally feel worthy—without having to be “the strong one” all the time.

Welcome! Chances are, if you're coming to this page you're struggling with something. Making that first step to see a therapist takes a lot of courage and shows a ton of strength. It is my belief that we all need support and a safe place to process and grow. Creating that space and working with you to understand and grow through this time, is an honor for me. I love working with families, couples, individuals and adolescents and feel that one of my strengths is my ability to put you at ease and make the challenging process of therapy more comfortable for you.

I am a board-certified, licensed graduate professional counselor in Maryland with a special interest in working with trauma and codependency.
Whether it is a codependent relationship, healing from trauma, a major illness, the loss of a loved one or you're not quite sure what "it" is yet, I can support you in gaining a deeper sense of wholeness and well-being. I specialize in betrayal trauma, affair recovery for couples, as well as sex and porn addiction for male/female and Mother Hunger. Have you hit the “work required” part of your relationship? I am trained to address intimacy issues and support you to restore healing and peace. Our space will be a place where we work to understand the "why" around what is happening in your life and where we identify how to change what isn't working for you. Once we understand these origins, we can help you to highlight your strengths while overcoming the hurdles and challenges that are in the way of your life goals, happiness, and daily peace.

You’re a deep feeler—sensitive to sound, energy, conflict, or chaos. You might be neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD), navigating trauma, or parenting a child who feels everything, too. You crave understanding, regulation, and relief. You want to unmask, find your voice, and parent without shame or burnout. You’re looking for a therapist who truly gets it—and who knows healing doesn’t come from “fixing” you, but from helping you reconnect with the wisdom you already carry.

Often, we believe others are worthy of love, but we are not. Sometimes, our experiences in our lives lead us to think that we are unloveable; we believe that we deserve this and come to the conclusion that we are unloved. These experiences led us to believe we are no longer safe for connection. This is a lie. I would like to invite you to an inverse of the golden rule: Do unto yourself as you would do unto others. I welcome anyone who wants this, who doesn't know how to live like this, and/or who is skeptical that this is possible. I believe we are made to become wholly the best version of ourselves.

Your story is threaded with mystery and purpose. Sometimes we journey through dark landscapes of chaos and unraveling. Things happen: an injustice, we loose our job, our health declines, the place we call home disappears like sand between our fingers, we lose the ones we love, or we are betrayed by someone we trusted. Suddenly, we are faced with the shocking absurdity of reality. "I can't believe this is my life! Please, don't let this be my life!" When we are lost, the importance of someone bearing witness to our severely-wounded self is invaluable. I consider it an honor to walk alongside of you and your one, unique story.

Does everyone depend on you to make decisions and solve their problems? Even when you are going through a rough time do your friends and family still ask you to do things for them because they are so used to you always being available? Is it easier to make what you want secondary? Does keeping the peace come at the expense of you not having a happy and fulfilling life? Do you lose your identity and not know who you are when you are in a relationship?

What therapy types help with codependency problems?
Both couples and family therapy and cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) can help with the relationship difficulties referred to as codependency. Such problems typically include inappropriate feelings of responsibility for a loved one’s destructive behavior, irrational patterns of thinking about such behavior, and family interaction patterns in which the needs of one troubled member override the needs of others in a household.

What happens in therapy for codependency?
Spouses and family members learn and practice how to interact and support each other in a healthy way without sacrificing their own needs or well-being. They learn the limits of their responsibility for their loved ones and correct faulty patterns of thinking and feeling that underlie codependent behavior. Individuals may be encouraged to nurture an array of social relationships and to cultivate their own talents and interests so that they develop a healthy sense of self outside the family.

How does therapy help a person or couple overcome codependency?
Therapy helps people establish healthy ways of being in a relationship. Spouses and family members learn how to nurture and support one another without sacrificing their own needs or allowing the needs of one person to dominate the dynamic. Individuals learn how to say no and set boundaries, and how to maintain their own identity and self-esteem. Therapy helps people understand that they are not responsible for the feelings and actions of others. It also helps individuals deal with the turbulence that can come from living with a person suffering from such conditions as substance abuse and mental illness.

What is the goal of therapy for codependency?
One goal of therapy for codependency is to alleviate feelings of responsibility for and correct irrational patterns of thinking about loved ones whose behavioral problems override the needs of others in a household. Therapy helps people establish healthy boundaries of behavior and speak up for their own needs in a relationship. In addition, people learn how to maintain a healthy relationship, one in which both parties give and receive equally and are able to retain their own identity.
