My specialization and training background is those with co-occurring disorders (
disorder and another mental health disorder), but I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with various mental health needs.
My highest priority as a therapist is to cultivate a space for you as a client to feel safe, supported, and unconditionally accepted. My approach is person-centered first and foremost, while incorporating cognitive-behavioral and motivational interviewing methods to focus on the interplay between our thought life, emotional experiences, behavioral reactions, and motivations, and target what solutions are most effective and appropriate for you. I also incorporate mindfulness techniques to ground you both in the here and now of the session.
