She specializes in working with adults navigating trauma, addiction recovery, burnout, grief, and major life transitions.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. The first session is designed to be a comfortable, low-pressure space where we begin getting to know each other. We will start by discussing what brought you to therapy and what you’ve been experiencing. You are welcome to share at your own pace—there is no expectation to talk about everything all at once.

I specialize in treatment for anxiety, depression, & trauma as well as struggles with substance use and always adapt my therapeutic techniques to the individual needs of my clients.
With all of the challenges that life can throw at us, it is easy to feel overwhelmed or helpless. Life satisfaction and happiness might seem like distant goals with no clear path forward to reach them. You may find that you are spending more and more time stuck in your own head, perseverating on your struggles and acting as your own harshest critic. To me, therapy rooted in compassion and empathy can be a fantastic tool for navigating these challenges and discovering meaning and self-empowerment.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, & relationship dynamics, including complex trauma, abuse, neglect, or other triggering life events.
You are used to showing up for everything & everyone; therapy is where you finally get to show up for yourself. I work with high-functioning individuals who are accustomed to managing a lot & doing it well. Many of my clients navigate demanding careers, complex relationships, & major life transitions while quietly carrying stress, pressure, or emotional fatigue without having a consistent space to process it. Together, we create space to slow down, gain clarity, & better understand what is happening beneath the surface. From there, we begin to shift patterns, build insight, & move toward a more grounded, intentional way of living.

On the "seas of life" it is normal to have a whole variety of experiences, from calm waters on a bright and sunny day to horrific choppy waters with gigantic waves ready to threaten your very existence (like trauma).
I have extensive experience helping people make life altering changes from trauma or resulting in anxiety or insomnia. For post rehab clients, I help make recovery a way of life. I can treat people with issues specially treated with neurofeedback such as ADHD. I can also offer home-based training so you can not only feel better but get better.

While I have significant experience working with survivors of interpersonal and oppression-based traumas (particularly sexual violence, intimate partner violence, trafficking, and migration), my door is open to all.
I draw from various therapeutic modalities, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), integrative somatic therapies, EMDR and others. But the most important ingredient to therapy is the quality of the collaborative relationship we create together!

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
