I offer TeleHealth across Maryland 5 days a week & in-person sessions with a pleasant view of the Baltimore Harbor Monday through Wednesday.
Relationship Specialist for Couples, Veterans, and Non-Monogamy - It can feel exhausting when the arguments with your partner follow the same script, leaving you feeling more like roommates than a couple. You might be lying awake at night, replaying conversations and wondering how the connection you once had has faded. If you feel stuck in these patterns and are searching for a way to improve your relationship, you don't have to find the path forward alone. My approach is collaborative and focused on creating lasting change.

Supporting others on their journey toward healing and empowerment is both an honor and a privilege for me. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process, tailored to meet each person’s unique needs, goals, and life circumstances. Together, we’ll explore what may be keeping you stuck and then work towards building the tools, insight, and resilience you need to move forward.

I also have limited in-person availability in NYC for individuals and couples.
I incorporate interventions based upon narrative therapy, psychoanalytic theories, parts work, and mindfulness. This can look like re-writing a narrative you tell about yourself or a past event; untangling and honoring your emotions; or working to change patterns of how you relate to and love yourself, others, and the lands you're on or are from.

I enjoy working with creatively inspired individuals searching for or growing fulfilling careers or entrepreneurial opportunities which emphasize their unique personalities and natural gifts that allow for an integrated work-life balance. I also enjoy working with parents interested in finding an integrated lifestyle that merges personal, professional, and familial values. I use a family systems lens in individual counseling, where we collaborate on exploring how past and present family systems influence a person’s sense of self. I also work with clients' external systems in family therapy and parent coaching, etc.

As a licensed art therapist & walk-and-talk therapist in Baltimore County, I offer in-person sessions in my Towson office on Mondays, as well as virtual sessions and those in nature.
Imagine your mental health as a garden, where each plant represents a part of who you are. For overthinkers, especially those struggling with OCD and anxiety, the garden can feel overwhelmed by persistent weeds of worry, repetitive thoughts, and restless nights. These challenges can make it hard for the vibrant parts of you to grow and thrive. As a nonbinary, queer art therapist, artist, and outdoor walk-and-talk therapy enthusiast, I specialize in guiding all ages with my extensive training in art therapy, exposure and response prevention, somatic regulation, and parts work to help your garden heal and grow!

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
