I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, including Anorexia, Bulimia and ARFID. I am CBT/DBT trained and utilize that modality eclectically to treat personality disorders including borderline, complex trauma conditions, major depression, anxiety disorders as well as bipolar conditions and substance use disorders. I am LGBTQ+ friendly and support individuals considering gender transition. I offer electrotherapy services via Alpha Stim concurrently with talk therapy.

I am a clinical social worker and PhD educator. As a therapist I see clients in person at my private practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and by Doxy (like Zoom). I am also an Assistant Professor at Ferris State University Social Work Department, teaching graduate and undergraduate students. In addition, I conduct research on gender diversity, and I have done policy work to change the national recommendations for provision of mental health services to transgender and gender non-conforming people, serving as the lead author of the NASW National Policy on Work with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Clients.

My job is to listen to you and empower you to take action to improve your life.
