About
McKenna has worked with a wide variety of clients from various backgrounds, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has specific training and experience in Emotionally-Focused Therapy. Her specific areas of knowledge are working with depression and anxiety; work, life, or family stress; processing through trauma experiences; and conflict and communication issues.
McKenna leans toward using emotionally-focused, narrative, and solution-focused approaches that allow clients to understand their own thoughts, feelings, and strengths better so they can come up with practical solutions to begin effective healing. She believes empathy and strength-finding are keys to an effective therapeutic alliance.
We all find ourselves in difficult situations when we need extra help and support navigating life. I want you to feel understood, valued, and supported. Call for a free consultation to see if therapy with me is the right next step for you.
