I've spent most of my career as a therapist working in inpatient facilities where I had the opportunity to work with severe mental illness like schizophrenia, chronic suicidality, and substance abuse. I have also had the opportunity to help people navigate many obstacles that life places in their path, grief, loss, relationship issues and career change. In the face of adversity, I believe the therapeutic environment is ideal to navigate life's challenges as a team.
I am a client-centered therapist who operates from a secular, solution-focused mindset. I offer traditional talk therapy with honesty, integrity, and authenticity. Together, as a team, we can work to navigate the obstacles and challenges that life will present, and share in the joy that often accompanies personal growth.
I often lean on the principles of Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I also believe, however, that not every problem has a solution.
