Perhaps the previous methods of coping are not working. Maybe the words and ability to express those emotions are challenging and unnerving. Maybe life has forced a new role and now self identity/worth are being challenged. Therapy can be the tool to learn to be independent, autonomous, confident and self sufficient. To live a life where it is comfortable in setting boundaries, to live in your truth and learn the tools for self acceptance or the freedom of releasing the hold of what has been emotionally restrictive. All while learning to face those parts of ourselves that create shame, pain and discomfort in a space that is safe.
Originally started my career in substance abuse and noticed the pattern of family and its significance on the individual . I love exploring and increasing awareness on the underlying influences on our perception and empowering others to redefine what their relationships look like with themselves and others.
Facing life changes and challenges can be overwhelming especially if we feel we don’t have support or the tools to function on a daily basis. However it does not have to be a battle left to be fought alone.
