About

Feeling lost, anxious or depressed? Don’t worry. With compassion and collaboration, we’ll set out together to regain your footing and clear your path. I work from a strength-based, humanistic perspective, while utilizing ACT and CBT tools and strategies. This creates a warm, respectful and supportive environment in which to open up, explore and dream. While, at the same time, the scientific research and defined skills provide concrete, practical steps to help you move forward.
My psychology career began in the former Yugoslavia when I went there as a reporter to cover the civil war and ended up working as a counselor at a refugee center instead. At that time, I had already received my BA in psychology from UCLA, where I had graduated magna cum laude. Upon returning to The States, I went to Antioch University and earned my MA.
From there I was mentored by the legendary Dr. Carlfred Broderick in Los Angeles and studied the pitfalls associated with living the so-called "Good Life" of beauty, fame and fortune. I quickly learned that, whether refugee or celebrity, happiness is not about living a certain life. It is about embracing your life and being present and engaged in it.
