Dr. Maxwell's practice serves diverse individuals, couples, and families seeking psychotherapy and therapeutic assessment for myriad concerns, including anxiety, neurodivergence, depression, trauma, and personality- and relationship-related difficulties. Dr. Maxwell specializes in personality-related assessment and psychotherapy, and his junior colleagues offer low-cost psychotherapy and assessment services for adults and adolescents under Dr. Maxwell's diligent supervision.

Dr. Maxwell specializes in treating chronically turbulent emotions, as well as difficulties relating comfortably and effectively to others. Sometimes these experiences go along with a feeling of not knowing who one is, as well as making rash choices one often regrets. These experiences may or may not be related to abuse(s) and/or neglect experienced in one’s childhood and teenage years. Clinically, these experiences sometimes manifest as personality disorders and/or complex posttraumatic stress disorder. He also helps people curb unruly anxiety, combat avoidance, disrupt depressive thinking patterns, and reshape unhelpful habits.

I believe that understanding yourself is an important first step toward meaningful change, and I am committed to making the assessment and therapeutic process thoughtful, respectful, and approachable. I enjoy working with adults and older adults who are seeking greater understanding, healing, and personal growth.
I am currently pursuing my doctorate in Clinical Psychology and value the opportunity to work alongside individuals as they gain insight, develop new perspectives, and take steps toward their goals.

I also support clients who are deconstructing or disentangling their faith and want space to explore what they believe without judgment. I provide care at the masters level and am a current clinical psychology doctoral student under the close supervision of a licensed psychologist.
