My name is Max Anne Zachai, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Chico, CA, and working with clients throughout California via Telehealth. I have over four years of experience as a therapist at a domestic and sexual violence agency, serving clients from diverse backgrounds with high levels of trauma and crisis. In my private practice, I work with adults and teens (12 and up) on a broad range of presenting concerns. I believe in a collaborative approach, working with each client to develop a therapeutic style to meet their unique needs.
I work to evoke my client's innate capacity for healing, utilizing Internal Family Systems as a framework to understand the impact of a client's experiences, while utilizing attachment-based modalities to provide the safety and security necessary for challenging therapeutic work.
After my own experience as a client in therapy, I discovered a strong desire to help others as I had been helped. I know the courage it takes to show up as a client and sit on that couch. I also know what a difference it can make to have someone as a support and guide on the challenging journey of healing. I hope to be that guide for you.
