I believe that the changes that occur through therapy are linked to the relationship between client and therapist and the client's development of insight. People come to therapy feeling unsure and insecure, repeating the same frustrating patterns again and again without the outcomes they hope for. We will work together to help you move out of unhealthy cycles that are no longer serving you. I have trained in and utilize multiple approaches, but primarily draw from psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive behavior therapy.
My specialties focus on anxiety, depression and complicated relationship dynamics/history. If you are having difficulty forming and maintaining relationships I can guide you to better understand the reasons why, and change behaviors that have kept others at a distance. Through therapy you can learn connect with others in ways that feel safe and fulfilling.
