I have been a clinical social worker for over twelve years and have worked in a variety of settings. I have worked with individuals diagnosed with Depression, Anxiety, Substance Use and Aspergers Disease. I have also worked with individuals with psychosis.
My desire is to listen to my clients to gain a better understanding of issues that brought them to therapy. This will allow me to better understand the goals that they have set for themselves and identify strategies to move forward.
My belief is that each individual has their own strengths but sometimes support and reflection are needed to reflect and build upon those strengths
I enjoy utilizing Acceptance and Therapy to build upon strengths that each individual has. I have also provided Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
The stressors and challenges that each individual faces sometimes enforces the need for support from a professional. Asking for support is not an issue but a strength and it is my goal to assist you in acknowledging your goals and barriers that may have been present while identifying strategies to overcome those barriers
