About
My interests and knowledge in counseling began, as a personal necessity, over 40 years ago. As a teen wife and mother I struggled with constant stress and adversity. At 23, leaving an abusive marriage, with no skills and on welfare, I was left with few choices. At this intersection asking for help and receiving counseling were the most significant steps towards transforming my life. I applied for various grants, began college, raised my daughter and worked part time. There were many very difficult setbacks and challenges but with the emotional support of counseling, learning new coping strategies and practicing turning disappointments into achievements I succeeded!
Today ,as a therapist, I offer deep empathy, hope and skills to increase emotional and physical resilience. I have great faith in the benefits of counseling. It is never to late for any of us to realize our potential and actualize our dreams.
