Hello, my name is Maureen, welcome. You have taken a courageous step to find a therapist who will be a good match. My expertise includes managing difficult transitions, grieving a loss, resolving symptoms of depression, anxiety, healing from trauma, strengthening communication and conflict resolution skills or generally striving for increased personal growth. I am interested in what my client's need to feel a sense of fulfillment, purpose and contentment. I work with individuals and adolescents as well as couples. I have practiced for 35 years, working with people in crisis and transition. I have expertise working with victims of domestic abuse. as well as with LGBT individuals, including trans folks in transition. I use mindfulness practice, CBT, ACT and EFT. I am also interested in what makes us happy and joyful using mindfulness practice.
I am occasionally accompanied by Quincy, my Australian Labradoodle. He excels in accepting attention and providing support. Therapy requires trust, expertise and you and I working together to find what works for you. Take care.
