Finding help during distress can feel overwhelming, but ultimately it is empowering. You are stronger than you think. The opportunities for real change are opened when there is humility and a deep desire to heal. Each client needs to work at their own pace and manner, but intent for growth is key. Reaching fulfillment through the realization of personal talent looks different for everyone, but it is an exciting process to witness, once a client is ready. I find joy witnessing growth take place over time and I continue to be amazed by the strength and resilience of the individuals I work with.
My style is as eclectic as the patients I see, and we will work together to educate ourselves on what works best for you. Developing an understanding of what you are bringing to therapy both culturally and experientially will determine our path ahead. I use an existential framework and CBT along with MI, DBT, ACT, solution-focused, and humanistic methods.
Each of us is deserving of acceptance, respect and inner peace. Attaining these things can be messy and difficult, and as your therapist my role is to walk with you through it, to get to the other side. It is a gift and honor to spend time with individuals, forming unique relationships as we work towards solutions that empower and improve quality of life.
