I work with clients who are working towards growth and healing, especially in the realms of wounding in relationships and traumatic events. Through training in attachment theory, I see the therapeutic relationship as a unique kind of relationship. Secure and safe relationships are crucial to thriving as human beings, and the solid foundation of a therapeutic relationship will allow you to explore parts of yourself that may have been off limits before. This can facilitate new understandings of your history, freedom from old pain, and an internal sense of security.

I specialize in trauma work with training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, DBT and attachment theory. I blend thoughtful, reflective work in sessions with approaches including education, meditation and mindfulness techniques, and work on coping skills and lifestyle factors. We will explore your childhood and the impact of your history.

We will keep coming back to what it is you want for yourself and find the resources you need to get there. I use talk therapy, mindfulness and skills-based methods as well as EMDR. EMDR is quite different from talk therapy and can be like taking an internal, meditative journey.
