The unknowns of therapy are sometimes daunting, so congratulations to you for making it here. Whether you are new to therapy or you're familiar with the process, I invite you to reach out so we can collaborate on what therapeutic success means to you, and work together to help you engage in values guided action toward your goals. While we may not be able to avoid hardships that are a part of living, we can work to increase our capacity to thrive and live a fulfilling life despite our experiences.
As primarily an ACT practitioner, my goal is to help clients identify what their values and goals are, observe current thoughts and behaviors with compassion, and determine whether these thoughts and behaviors are helpful in leading you toward your goals, or if in fact, they are leading you away from the life you would like to live.
Our minds, in an effort to be helpful, can sometimes fuse to thoughts that may not be helpful in accomplishing our goals. I would love to help you unhook from unhelpful thoughts so that you can observe your thoughts, hold space for your emotions, and choose to engage in workable action toward your goals.
