Not accepting new clients at present. I enjoy working with individuals and couples across the life cycle: young adults dealing with anxiety, self-esteem & relationship issues; couples long married and looking to enhance their relationship; and 'baby boomers' facing their own transitions while being 'sandwiched' between the needs of adult children and aging parents. I believe in our capacity for personal growth individually and in our closest relationships throughout life. In a safe, confidential environment you are invited to engage in the empowering process of therapy. My therapeutic style is warm, empathic and interactive.
Additionally, I am a Certified Therapist in EMDR, a protocol that facilitates the healing of stress and trauma. Using EMDR, negative beliefs are addressed and long held limiting beliefs can be transformed.
I also have special training in couple therapy: emotionally focused therapy, systems and psychodynamic therapy.
Whether or not we identify with a religious tradition, each of us holds beliefs about life, its meaning and value. Clients are welcome to bring their spiritual search,(traditional or non-traditional), into the therapeutic process with me.
