I am committed to creating a warm, empathic, honest space where clients can work collaboratively to gain insight into themselves and cultivate more flexibility in one's responses to the world. I see therapy with individuals and couples as not only a path to individual growth and healing but also as a means to empower individuals to connect meaningfully with others, take action in their lives, and make a positive impact on the world. Rooted in psychodynamic principles, my approach draws on relational, attachment, and trauma-informed theories, and integrates the knowledge of somatics, affective neuroscience, and mindfulness.
I am attuned to the ways that our early relationships, environments, and social structures inform our senses of ourselves and our world, and pay special attention to how these reverberate in the here-and-now. I use a liberation health framework to help clients navigate and transform these influences.
I believe that true healing and becoming emerges from establishing a safe, reliable, and accepting therapeutic relationship. Through this work, clients can discover greater freedom, deepening their capacity for self-determination and enhancing their ability to engage with the world with clarity, complexity, and purposeful action.
