Hello! My name is Matt Verlander. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 15 years of experience helping others find healing. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Gardner-Webb University, and my Master of Social Work degree from Radford University. I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings during the course of my career including adult and adolescent outpatient clinic, school-based, community mental health, and foster care. im a compassionate therapist with extensive experience working with both children and adults.
The counseling process is individualized and is paced by the client. Healing happens in relationship and relationship is not designed to be rigid or rushed. Whether you are seeking counseling for yourself for your child, I will take the time to get to know you and/or your child and we will lean on your innate strengths during our work together.
