Matt uses a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and an insight oriented therapeutic approach with his clients. Matt helps his clients to understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Matt brings a unique 32year career to the therapeutic experience with his work in private counseling, social services, conducting groups and case management with those involved in the criminal justice system, particularly those with severe and persistent mental illness. He also has experience working as a community college instructor.
In his free time, Matt enjoys walking his dog, hiking, reading, and spending time with his family and friends boating the Oregon water ways. He is in a multiracial relationship and blended family which brings unique insight to his practice. He has four children and recently became a grandparent.
