About
"Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive" -The Dalai Lama. To be kind with yourself and others requires that you begin to heal the old wounds that reside in your heart and mind. As a therapist, I focus on helping you find an authentic and creative life and cultivate real relationships to support a healthy and warm lifestyle. I welcome people who are working with relationship and communication issues, anxiety and depression, and questions around self-esteem, isolation, and meaning. I believe the healing path is a lifelong journey towards greater wisdom, compassion, and happiness.
I utilize mindfulness in combination with several types of psychotherapy--relational, existential, humanistic, gestalt, non-dual, and psychodynamic. I have a deep respect for the process of psychotherapy, based on years of my own personal healing and helping people to grow. My style is warm, thoughtful, and relational.
I have a PhD in East-West Psychology and a Master's Degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from CIIS. My practice includes individuals, children, couples, and families. I believe that, as Irvin Yalom says, "there is a deep comfort from relating intimately to other fellow travelers in the world."
