I am a Masters-level, nationally certified, Iowa licensed Mental Health Counselor who works from a humanistic, strengths-based perspective and serves individual adults. I use cognitive behavioral therapy approaches to help clients build awareness into and change the stories that impact their lives and mindfulness techniques to help individuals regulate their nervous system function and build a sense of safety and security within their bodies.
In October 2019, I obtained specialty as a Certified Anxiety Treatment Professional through the Institute of Certified Anxiety Treatment Professionals (ICATP) to better understand and assist clients that live with a variety of anxiety-related disorders and uses this specialty to help clients understand and manage their anxiety.
I believes in the dignity, power and potential of human beings and make it my personal and professional mission to help clients recognize this power within themselves and their world through education, empowerment, empathy and respect.
