My name is Dr. Matthew Lowe and I'm looking forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your mental health goals. Since graduating from medical school and completing my adult and child/adolescent psychiatry resident and fellowship, I have worked with people in the hospital setting, kids in schools, and people of all ages in the outpatient setting. I have been a psychiatrist since 2010 and I love helping people feel better, do more, and achieve better balance in their lives!
I try to meet every person where they are and learn about their goals and dreams to help them achieve success in the future. Through medications and therapy, we will work together to find the right combination to make that happen. I use evidence-based medication treatments in the lowest doses and the fewest medications possible in combination with therapy.
A typical first session includes asking lots of questions to get to know more about where you are coming from, what you've been through, and what you are currently experiencing. The goal is to pinpoint symptoms and diagnoses to ensure the proper treatment. Follow up sessions involve talking about life, how you've been, and how the medication is working.
