How many times do we think we should be feeling better…happier, but not know how to manage that? How often do we struggle connecting with others, or criticizing ourselves? Not prioritizing ourselves can lead to long-term issues for us, mentally and physically. Living a better life is possible, with the right kind of help and support.
As a trauma-informed counselor, helping people deal with life’s challenges is my passion. And, helping you learn how to manage what life throws at you is my goal. Being heard and understood is where healing begins, which is why I prioritize getting your perspective on your situation and experiences.
We will work together to make a plan that will help us address your concerns. This may include setting boundaries, working through a loss or life transition, or helping you change a pattern of behavior that has you feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
Affirmations and challenges will be made, and successes will be celebrated along the way, enabling you to make movements forwards and upwards. I tend to use an eclectic approach to counseling that includes aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Geek Therapy.
