I am a certified Trauma Specialist and certified in Batterer's Intervention and Rational Living Therapy. Throughout my experience, I have encountered a range of individuals with numerous difficulties and struggles, from Opioid Addiction to Borderline Personality Disorder to Grief and Loss and more. I help individuals focus on how they want to change and grow, and assist with obtaining those goals.
I believe that every negative behavior that requires change was once helpful in some way. Through therapy I assist in identifying why those behaviors existed in the first place and work with clients to replace them.
I have certifications in Rational Living Therapy as well as being an Advanced Trauma Specialist. I help clients recognize how they developed irrational coping strategies to deal with traumatic events in their lives.
Therapy is, above all, a relationship. Coming to therapy does not mean that you are broken or something is wrong with you. Therapy is allowing someone to have a professional relationship with you, and to help you look at a situation with fresh eyes, while helping you get to where you want to go.
