I work with a broad set of clients including children ages 10+, adults, families, and couples, often working with anxiety disorders and relational issues. Managing anxious symptoms and relational concerns can be very relieving and rewarding, creating a better quality of life. Building a trusting relationship is also important to me. Ideally, clients will recognize that they have a strong ally in me. I appreciate working with clients interested in learning more about their condition/diagnosis and related symptoms, exploring how they influence them personally and inter-personally, and identifying strategies to help cope effectively.
Family relationships are valuable, so I appreciate assisting clients work toward achieving healthier and more fulfilling relationships with loved ones. In addition, I offer my experience working in a residential program with boys with significant behavioral and emotional problems for a broad amount of child- and parenting-related issues.
Searching for and initiating therapy can be an intimidating step to take. I want potential clients to know that that I am aware of the challenges that might come along with this. Ideally, clients are comfortable in coming to meet with me, but even when they are not, I will do my best to be compassionate and help them feel welcome and at ease.
