I work with a broad clientele including children ages 10+, adults, families, and couples. Anxiety disorders are a strong interest of mine. I like to collaboratively identify multiple interventions with clients who have goals related to diminishing and managing anxious symptoms. Building a trusting relationship is also important. Ideally, clients will recognize that they have a strong ally in me. I appreciate working with clients interested in learning more about their diagnosis and related symptoms, exploring how they influence them personally and inter-personally, and identifying strategies to help cope effectively.
Family relationships are valuable, so I appreciate assisting clients work toward achieving healthier and more fulfilling relationships with loved ones. In addition, I offer my experience working in a residential program with boys with significant behavioral and emotional problems for a broad amount of child- and parenting-related issues.
Searching for and initiating therapy can be an intimidating step to take. I want potential clients to know that that I am aware of the challenges that might come along with this. Ideally, clients are comfortable in coming to meet with me, but even when they are not, I will do my best to be compassionate and help them feel welcome and at ease.
