I am the lead provider in a small group practice specializing in the following: ADHD (the only specialty ADHD clinic outside of Oahu, to our knowledge); sexual issues of many kinds (identity, abuse, empowerment, experience enhancement, dysfunctions, etc.); medical cannabis certification; couples/relationship issues. Susan Cauley, MD, Lesly Mae K. Brittain, BSN-RN (ADHD specialist), and myself are the ADHD team. Dr. Susan Cauley can provide medication coordination for our ADHD program, and is our Cannabis specialist.
We specialize in treatment of PTSD, ADHD, anxiety/depression, family issues, LGBTQ+, life-transition issues, sexual issues, substance abuse treatment using harm-reduction methods (including cannabis-replacement therapy), Dissociative Identity Disorders, Personality Disorders, and affective disorders.
I, Matthew, have lived in Hawaii my entire adult life. I also have a MA in Pacific Islands Studies, and read, write and speak the Hawaiian language and enough Spanish to provide services. We coordinate care with physicians, service agencies, and others, and create a wholistic treatment team where the patient is empowered.
