My approach to working with clients is one that is solution-focused. We all need help from time to time in our lives. I work with clients to identify their strengths in order to assist them in working through their limitations. Together, through collaboration, I work with clients to identify solutions for some of life's most overwhelming problems. I work with clients to develop an individualized treatment plan to ensure that their specific needs are being addressed in the counseling setting.
My experience comes from working with adolescents and adults in both mental health and addiction treatment settings. In my current practice, I work with individuals, couples, and families, addressing a variety of mental health, behavioral, and addiction-related issues.
I have worked in the counseling field for the past 20 years, and I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Iowa since 2008. I am also certified through the Iowa Board of Certification for treating individuals with co-occurring mental health and addiction issues.
