I am currently accepting new clients. Finding a therapist that is a good fit for you may simply feel difficult. I imagine you desire someone you can trust, who will validate your experiences, and help you find ways to navigate the pain you are experiencing. My priority is to be there for you in these ways, and further to understand your concerns, and needs, by creating a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings. I want you to feel empowered in our sessions, so that you may accomplish your goals, and moreso be curious and brave in viewing your experiences from new perspectives, to help you heal, and grow.
I work with adults to address issues related to anxiety, depression, chronic pain, substance use and relationship difficulties. I tailor my therapeutic interventions to meet your needs, taking a mindfulness-based approach to promote self-awareness. I identify your strengths, practice new skills with you, and help you refine existing coping strategies.
Each session is an opportunity for you to gain clarity and acceptance, as you continue to learn how to be with yourself more fully in the present moment. I welcome getting to know you and your story, recognizing the courage it takes to choose what may be more difficult in the near term, though more helpful for you in the long run.
