A seed was planted in me long ago to help others. My own experience of trauma, and it’s aftershocks, affected almost every aspect of my existence. Since then, my aim in life has been to help ease the suffering, in whatever form it takes, in others. I strive to meet my clients with warmth, compassion, and authenticity. I typically work with adult individuals over 18 years of age. My work is LGBTQ affirming. I provide support for a wide range of mental health concerns, including, but not limited to, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, issues with addiction, and PTSD.
My counseling style is down to earth with leanings towards Person Centered, CBT, Mindfulness, Existential, and Gestalt type approaches to therapy. I am also trained in EMDR which has provided crucial tools to assist clients in working through trauma issues.
I like to share with any new client I receive that I'm absolutely not here to judge, I'm here to help however I can.
