My approach is relational and grounded in Internal Family Systems, trained through the IFS Institute. When I work with children and teens I include the whole family, routinely involving parents and siblings. For trauma I use IFS, EMDR and TF-CBT to safely process painful memories and reduce symptoms. I love working with parents (especially dads). And I love working with couples to rebuild connection. As a former crisis worker I am uniquely comfortable with suicidal thoughts and helping folks stabilize and begin healing. Sessions follow your goals and pace. Reach out to see if we are a good fit!

I promote self reflection, safety, emotional wellness, and when it fits, laughter and fun. My work is person centered and trauma informed. I tailor treatment to each family or individual. I am trained in Internal Family Systems through the IFS Institute, EMDR, TF-CBT, and Gottman. I often use creative and expressive play therapies with children.

While I consider myself a trauma therapist, I have worked in diverse settings that has lead to some specializations that don't seem to match, but I can't imagine not working with any of these groups. Along with trauma work, I am an "angry 8 year old whisperer." I also am very comfortable/effective at working with people who experience Suicidal Ideation or engage in non/suicidal self injury.
