Hello! My guess is that you're currently feeling a bit overwhelmed and possibly frustrated by the task of finding a therapist who both resonates with you and, is available. Being overwhelmed by the complexity of our lives, by our relationships, our work-lives and by the financial pressures we sometimes face seems to have become the "new normal" for many of us. Helping clients better manage these challenges while finding new solutions in an open-minded, comfortable and at times humorous environment is at the core of my practice. I enjoy working with youth, adults and couples seeking helpful new life-skills and big picture clarity.
My professional background includes extensive experience with diverse populations of adults, youth, couples and families. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. I also come to this work with many years of valuable life experience as a parent and as college educator.
The counseling process often involves exploring one's life from a place of vulnerability and uncertainty. Trust, rapport and feeling well cared for are the foundation of that process.
