I work well with individuals who are seeking to create new ways of relating to themselves, others, and the world at large. I have found success in treating clients who struggle with negative self-talk, anxiety, conflict in interpersonal relationships, traumatic childhoods, and difficult life transitions, including grief and loss. Therapy can be a painful and challenging process and I seek to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to show up as your authentic, unapologetic self. I believe healing happens when we extend compassion, empathy, love, and care to ourselves and others, and work to create new patterns in our lives.
Working from a systems perspective, I am dedicated to providing inclusive, culturally-sensitive, affirming, anti-racist care for all people, of all identities and expressions. As a white male, I continuously work to educate myself on the experiences of others, especially marginalized people, knowing that education is an ongoing process.
I firmly believe in the human capacity and desire for growth, change, and connection. Humans are relational, social creatures that require healthy attachment to ourselves and one another in order to truly live. I value sitting with clients as they feel their pain, providing care, kindness, empathy, compassion, and humor in the midst of it.
