I work with couples, families, and adults individually. What I see across all of it is people caught in patterns they didn't choose and are struggling to get out of. Sometimes those patterns are obvious and sometimes they only become clear once we start looking. Often people come in at a turning point, like a new marriage, a new baby, a career change, or the end of a relationship, when the old ways of coping stop working. Some can already name what keeps happening and want help changing it. Others know something is wrong and need help making sense of it. Both are good places to start.
Common concerns include relationship difficulties, anxiety and depression, ADHD, and questions of identity and meaning. I also offer premarital counseling. I have a particular interest in working with men, whether you've been in therapy for years or have never thought of it as something for you. Whatever brought you here, I would love to help.
Our stories are complex. My work is systemic, which means I pay attention to that complexity without letting us get lost in it. I draw on structural and strategic family therapy, narrative therapy, and emotionally focused therapy, along with cognitive approaches and ACT. For clients who want it, I'm glad to include faith and spirituality in our work.
