Are you struggling through a recent traumatic event? Or maybe something difficult that you went through years ago? Perhaps you find it difficult to control how much you drink, or you can't stop looking at pornography? If you are experiencing any of these things, or the commonly-experienced shame that comes along for the ride, I would love to take the time to help you find effective solutions to these issues. I work primarily with adults and older teens, so if you or your teenager have been thinking about trying counseling, today might be the day. It might be time to try something new to find more internal peace.
I can help you develop a plan to better cope with your emotions. We can also work together on helping you develop a healthier mindset about yourself. I use a collaborative approach that guides our treatment, including any potential relapse prevention plans- whether that be for anxiety, substance abuse, or sexual misbehavior.
I have experience helping people who have experienced trauma, or can't shake an addiction, as well as those that have a combination of the two. I feel excited about the idea of teaching clients healthier ways to cope with life and strong emotions. Check out my website to learn more about my approach, or give me a call for a free phone consultation.
