"I don't even know who I am anymore since I had a baby." Is this you? I hold a specialized certification in Perinatal Mental Health, which most associate with "Post Partum Depression." While much of my work does focus on post partum mood concerns, I am also able to provide knowledgeable therapeutic support for other concerns, such as: life transitions, parenting, self esteem, relational distress, and mood instability. I enjoy working with adolescents in addition to adults, and like to use whatever forum is most comfortable- face to face, phone or telehealth.
We can meet once, or for an extended period of time- this is your journey and you are going to steer it. I have worked in residential settings, inpatient and outpatient clinics. I also have a certificate through OASAS to offer clinical supervision. I am able to offer telehealth using a HIPAA compliant app to clients anywhere in NY State.

The Motherhood Experience
Often, after the whirlwind of pregnancy, birth and coming home, a sense of isolation sets in- even for the most well adjusted of women. The Motherhood Experience is a professionally run group, which supports mothers during the adjustment and transition into motherhood. Each week, a different topic will be processed, assisting new mothers in gaining confidence, decreasing worry, and re-establishing the 'new normal' of life. Topics may include: New/conflicting/confusing emotions, sleeping, relationships, boundaries, time management, birth stories, new identify, communication, and body image, among others. All discussions will be facilitated in a supportive and validating way.
