The relationship between your mind and body has been rigorously researched and shown to have a compelling effect on healing anxiety and trauma.
I specialize in treating trauma and anxiety by going beyond words, standing by your side as you journey into the heart of the matter. It takes courage to reach out for another human being who can be by your side while you turn toward the hard work of healing. We are not meant to walk alone through the toughest places in life. As a holistic counselor, I walk beside you as a witness to your strength and knowledge so that you may draw on your whole self; mind, body and spirit.

I offer relationship and sex therapy, as well as LGBTQIA+, non-monogamy, and kink allied teletherapy for individuals and couples.
Life presents to us a consistent ebb and flow of challenges. As we navigate these, we are guided by our sense of identity, our past experiences, and the patterns we have learned. Often, however, these solutions do not serve us in the present and take the form of habits of mind and action which hold us back, shape our relationships, and create the illusion of false limitations; but there is hope. We are able to shape our lives through changing our patterns, the way we think and communicate, and the actions we learn to take. Through self understanding we may update our narrative and with it transform our realities.

EFT insures that each of you is supported as we explore the patterns of distress that arise in your relationship , how to interrupt them, and how to recreate your bond of love.
It feels horrible when you lose the connection with your partner and you can't find your way back to that warm, secure feeling. It can leave you feeling bad about yourself or your "other half;" lost, lonely, and upset. There are many trying emotions you may feel in reaction to managing the tension. If you've tried couples therapy before, now there's a better way. Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) is research based and offers a very high rate of success. Are you ready to grow as a couple? I invite you to take a wonderful risk and try EFT.

Throughout my years of experience, I have been given the opportunity to assist individuals with a wide range of both emerging and persistent mental health issues, including those that involve mood, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship dynamics, phase of life problems, as well as sexual orientation and gender identity issues.
We can all become stuck, overwhelmed, hopeless, or just feel we’re not living our best lives for many different reasons. Additionally, the current unrest in society around us can shake a sense of security or predictability we may have held about what our futures hold. These may cause disruptions in sleep and appetite and encourage negative thoughts and moods to grow and persist. Whatever your struggles, I ensure professional care that is collaborative, respectful, and that has your best interests at heart.

Whatever your symptoms or concerns - anxiety, depression, addiction/substance use, pain, loneliness, relationship distress - or if you simply yearn for a better life, call me to discuss whether our working together might be a good fit.
If you have been looking for a dependable sense of well-being in your life, knowing that how you feel and function in the world isn’t what it could be or what you’d like it to be, I offer professional and compassionate help. Your feelings and behaviors make sense and healing is possible. I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) (Level II trained) that is directed towards helping you become your own source of healing and growth. Each of us has parts that can be healed and a Self that is wise and compassionate. Trauma, attachment wounds, self-hate and feeling insecure about ourselves can frequently be at the root of our struggles.

I am an experienced, warm and insightful therapist. I work with adults across the life span. I am an active therapist, and I listen carefully. I am interested in supporting patients to understand themselves, their feelings, relationships, behaviors. I find that this understanding, along with the space to experience feelings, leads to the possibility of growth and change. I work with men and women, facing a broad range of personal, work, and family issues. I have often worked with people in their 20's and 30's who want to establish a successful intimate relationship .

Certified in both IFS and EMDR, I help clients that experience anxiety, PTSD, depression, OCD, and relationship issues find new ways of being embodied and relating to themselves and others.
On the surface you're all calm and put together, but underneath you're panicking about how your life is panning out. Sure, you've got great ambition and have come really far. Things may even be pretty good right now. But the memories of your difficult past and anxieties about the future never quite go away, always lurking around every corner. You struggle feeling good enough and even when you do, it doesn't last very long, like a flash in the pan, because you doubt yourself. You obsess about what could go wrong next and get stuck in shame and guilt. You're feeling not present in everyday life, low satisfaction and joy, and lost.

The couples I work with are often fully committed to their relationship but are unhappy. The adult families I work with keep running into the same dynamics from childhood. The individuals are often dealing with grief, anxiety, self esteem, or relationship concerns. In each case, my clients want to get to a place where they feel like they are the author of their life story (or at least co-author), rather than just a hapless participant or helpless victim. In every case, people are trying to sort out boundaries and work through their history, and are weary of the same old, same old, and want a life of intention and freedom of choice.

I am a trauma-informed psychotherapist specializing in PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship issues and acculturation challenges.
Our unique life experiences influence how we relate to ourselves, and others. This is the lived lens through which we approach problems. We all have latent capabilities and skills to overcome challenges, but may find it hard to access them. It can be very helpful to speak with an objective person to gain insight and a better understanding of oneself. I work from an empowerment model, with a compassionate approach. I endeavor to build a therapeutic relationship founded on equality, trust and safety to achieve mutually agreed upon goals.

I believe emotional healing happens in a therapeutic relationship . I offer relations-oriented, emotion-focused psychotherapy to clients who are interested in relieving symptoms, identifying patterns, resolving conflicts, building satisfying relationships, finding fulfillment in life, etc. My work is trauma-informed due to my passion for trauma treatment, especially that of developmental trauma, and an understanding that traumatic experience is existentially inevitable in human life. I also have a particular interest in helping young professionals, first-time parents, and new immigrants navigate challenging life situations.

It takes tremendous courage to see a therapist. A safe environment and a trustful relationship are the first things I provide. People are complex; your ethnicity, sexuality, spirituality, personality, values, and unique background will be appreciated here. I will listen to you carefully and understand you deeply. Together we will find the best way to identify and meet your needs. I will help you with relationships, stress, anxiety, and shame. We will empower you from what is painful in your experience, so that you will feel more alive, have more compassion toward yourself, and create new meaning in your life.

Teletherapy
Teletherapy and Online counseling have grown enormously as a medium for therapy since the advent of social distancing. Most therapists are happy to provide sessions by video or phone.

All professionals are licensed to provide video therapy to clients within the State in which they hold their license. Cross State licensing exists, but is rare.

So if you're a client in Massachusetts, this list of teletherapists are licensed to provide therapy to you online (by phone, video or text based chat) because they are within your state. They are sorted nearest to furthest, with professionals in Massachusetts listed first.

Teletherapy via phone or video can be very similar to conventional in person sessions. The message is the same, even if the medium is different. There are some advantages in the form of convenience, lack of travel and being in comfort of your own home. Set against those, professionals find it more difficult to read non-verbal signals of their clients, and you may find you yourself can be more easily distracted.
