I am compassionate and empathic, utilizing a holistic approach with a strong emphasis on nature, humor, and spirituality, to empower people to accept themselves for who they are, to love themselves more fully, and to create successful strategies to enhance as well as sustain more meaning in their lives.

Offering a compassionate, safe place in which you can explore current life challenges that may be difficult to face alone. Relationship conflicts, separations, loss, job changes, eating problems and other addictions, medical illness, mid-life and other transitions often require working in partnership with someone who can help you find your own inner resources to move forward in your life. I have thirty-six years of experience as a medical practitioner working with diverse populations, including college students, young, middle age and older adults. I bring that experience to my psychotherapy work, recognizing the whole person, mind, body and spirit.

Hi there and thanks for reading about my services. People come to therapy for many kinds of reasons. Sometimes they feel blocked from finding what they are needing and wanting . They may be depressed, anxious, have survived trauma, of difficulty coping with illness or challenging life transitions. I believe that every human being has the power to live the life they want to live. For the past 26 years as a therapist, I have been happy to help individuals like you find their own best particular best happy life. As a nurse practitioner I can also help provide other ways to improve their health and lessen symptoms if one desires.

I practice soul work, helping restore and heal our connection to our deepest Self. I especially work with military and veterans, spiritual seekers, writers and artists in all genres, mid-life crises, men's issues, trauma and abuse survivors. I welcome clients seeking positive and comprehensive growth and change, a discovery or restoration of their gifts and creativity, and a deep healing relationship "out of the box." I do not practice conventional therapy for merely repairing our issues and adjusting to unhappy conditions. Rather, I nurture the unique soul and spirit in each person toward achieving meaning and creativity.

I enjoy working with adolescents, teenagers and adults who have trauma histories and traumatic loss. I believe that with every trauma comes opportunity for spiritual, emotional and relational growth. As a Social Worker and family systems therapist, I work with clients to address depression, anxiety, and trauma, from a wholistic and systemic perspective.

In my work as a therapist I seek to create an environment that is caring and supportive while allowing us to identify opportunities for growth and healing. My approach emphasizes skill-building, increasing insight and helping you to return to a life that is balanced, healthy and productive. My practice centers on working with those having addiction issues and those having addiction issues coupled to other mental health challenges such as: Bipolar & Depressive Disorders, Schizoaffective Disorder, Trauma, Grief & Abandonment. My extensive experience in all modalities of treatment allows clients a greater degree of options when creating a recovery plan for their addiction/mental health issues. 15 out of my 30+ years in the field were working inpatient psych/addiction as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

After 30 years in private practice, I have retired to do what I most enjoy which is helping our veterans connect with healing and growth experiences they find helpful.
