Hello! Thanks for taking the time to look at my profile and see if we are a good fit! My clients are children, adolescents, and adult women. They are experiencing anxiety, low self esteem, and have a history of loss, grief, abuse, and/or trauma. I also see young adults and college student clients making and adapting to life choices and rapid life changes. Most clients are looking to stop their 'mental hamster wheel' of negative and intrusive thoughts, and improve self esteem. Many adults are looking to cope with loss, broken family relationships, addiction within the family, and finally explore and resolve childhood trauma.

My goal is to support and guide my clients through challenging life circumstances and transitions by providing a comfortable, safe and non-judgmental space to address issues. I use a strengths-based and integrative therapeutic approach that includes cognitive-behavioral, relational, client-centered and solution-focused therapies. This approach focuses on building therapy around the unique interests and needs of each client. I think each individual has distinct strengths and I work to recognize, respect and expand current strategies of coping and help explore ways to improve overall quality of life.

I have been a psychotherapist for more than 35 years. I provide both individual and couples therapy. I use evidence-based methods to work with my clients on achieving their desired goals. With couples, I commonly see people wanting assistance with conflict resolution skills, communication skills, and help with diminished physical intimacy. For individuals, I have found that past histories of trauma or emotional invalidation are fairly common regardless of the particular struggle bringing someone to see me.

Sadness, depression, stress, grief, anger, loneliness, anxiety, betrayal in our lives and relationships can leave us feeling very lost and out of balance with ourselves and with loved ones. I actively engage with individuals and couples to bring about new insights, better communication, and fresh ways of thinking, feeling and behaving to achieve re-balance. Together we work to release negative core beliefs and shift dysfunctional patterns, communication, and thoughts. This results in clients having greater clarity, empowerment, peace, and satisfaction. Clients become more content, and connected to themselves and their loved ones.
