Suzanne has 27 years of experience working with Veterans, children, families and adults who suffer from PTSD, grief and loss and anxiety disorders. Suzanne has worked in juvenile settings, in an adult prison setting, school settings, residential settings, with Veterans, outpatient settings, as well as an administrator and supervisor to interns and licensed eligible clinicians. Suzanne approaches clinical work with compassion and is especially skilled in treating trauma and the symptoms presented in trauma sufferers. Suzanne has been an Adjunct Professor for 12 years and teaches courses in PTSD for graduate students.
Suzanne specializes Equine Assisted Psychotherapy as a means to assist the patient to be able to reach their treatment goals through their own experiences in the space with equines - allowing for the client's narrative. Suzanne is currently taking on clients who are interested in Life Coaching to address relational issues/inner child work
The farm acts as a metaphor for emotional pain, and through hands-on experiences clients are able to connect with difficult issues. Clients have an opportunity to interact with equines while engaging in therapeutic growth on the farm. Suzanne is an Eagala Certified Mental Health Specialist and Equine Specialist (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning).
