I have 1 opening for Ketamine work! Therapy means we’re going to intentionally get in touch with the difficulties going on in your life. If you are looking for a genuine & engaged person to be your ally & guide, I am passionate about helping my clients face & process their current struggles to find growth on the other side. Therapy starts with me giving you the space & support to share your story. By telling it, & receiving from me the understanding and validation you may have been needing, you may start to feel more understanding for yourself & may begin to experience greater choice in the behaviors you’d like to change.

Life has a way of throwing us curveballs, doesn't it? Sometimes those curveballs leave deep emotional wounds that are hard to heal on our own. That's where therapy comes in. I want to take a moment to acknowledge your strength. It takes courage to even consider reaching out for support, especially when facing the complexities of trauma, relationships, and women's issues. But here's the thing: you don't have to face it alone. As a therapist specializing in trauma, relationships, and women's issues, I'm here to offer you a safe space to explore your experiences, express your emotions, and begin the journey towards healing.

I am a therapist, focused on women's issues, who can help you bring joy, strength and tranquility into your life. I believe that all women have an enormous amount of inner strength which often gets lost as we take on the roles of mother, wife, caregiver, partner, and provider. As women, we often give so much of ourselves that our spirit and energy can get squashed leaving us feeling depressed and anxious.

Our specialties include treating Anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Depression, and Women's Issues to name a few.
Navigating the complex relationship between mental health and the world around us can be challenging. This challenge may be amplified for individuals of color or those from cultures that may not fully support or understand the benefits of therapy. Feeling familiar with anxiety, depression, or stress should not be the norm. Struggling with boundaries in your relationships should not be a constant battle, and ADHD should not hinder your connections. At Personalize Your Therapy, we believe these challenges can be overcome.

I help clients who are experiencing anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem issues, grief, women's issues, trauma and PTSD to heal deeply.
Do you feel stuck, despite being highly self-aware? Have you tried talk therapy before and it felt nice to vent, but it didn’t really create the transformation or deep healing and relief from anxiety you were looking for? I help millennial women like you by using a holistic approach to therapy. I combine EMDR therapy, art therapy, IFS therapy and somatic practices like nervous system regulation to heal at the root of your issues, discover what you want out of life, and create lasting changes. I also offer EMDR Intensives for those who want to heal NOW and don't want to spend months or even years in the traditional therapy model.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with a specialty in women's issues.
Sometimes we find ourselves at an inner-crossroads. Maybe you’ve realized you’re repeating cycles you know you want to break. Maybe you’re feeling unfulfilled but can't pinpoint why. Maybe you feel tossed around by your own intense emotions, or maybe you just can’t seem to make the changes you crave. You’re not alone. I work with clients who are often smart and anxious, who tend to feel exhausted by working so hard yet somehow still feel like it’s never enough. I also work with clients who feel sensitive to the world around them, often to the point of overwhelm.

Women's Issues Therapists

How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?

It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?

Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?

As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?

Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
