I'm Maryam Brown, a licensed therapist and peak performance specialist with over ten years of experience specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, as well as peak performance training for athletes and executives. My work is grounded in neuroscience, specifically in how the brain stores and processes experiences which means we go beyond talking about what's wrong and work directly to change it. I use some of the most effective approaches available today: EMDR, Brainspotting, the Flash Technique, HeartMath, CBT, the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), and the Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP). These modalities reach the parts of the brain (the limbic system, the brainstem ) where trauma and distress actually live.
