My name is Mary Yost. I have 30 years of experience working in counseling. I originally did work in arts therapies and somatic awareness. My style is reflective and directive and I will give you tools to practice in each week. You set the goals and I will guide you in that direction. I am licensed as a Mental Health and a substance abuse therapist. I also train and supervise other therapists to become professionally licensed in the state.
I use many approaches depending on the client and situation .I have training with most progressive tools. DBT, CBT and integrated meditation. Most often my clients need support in changing difficult patterns and habits.
Compassion, creative , thoughtful with open collaboration on difficult feelings. Sometimes I integrate humor, because we can all use lightness lifting up our struggles .
