I find that people are often ambivalent about starting therapy for a variety of reasons. I applaud you for taking this first step. It is hard to walk into an office and talk with a stranger who is a therapist. I am here to walk with you on your journey in learning more about yourself and coming up with solutions to the issues that you're facing at this time. My specialties include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, and trauma. I have mild cerebral palsy and have an understanding of what it is like to be in the able-bodied world.
I use different techniques such as cognitive behavior therapy, solution-focused based therapy, and a number of different modalities. You and I will, over time, figure out what you need to accomplish your goals.
I provide clients with a safe and nonjudgmental space in which clients are able to express themselves freely. You are the expert on who you are. I am here to help you clarify for yourself who you are and address the social issues you face that get in your way of you having a healthy and happy life.
