My practice is divided between therapy & assessment. I enjoy each and feel privileged to be able to do both - they are mutually enriching. My Ph.D. is from UT Austin. I have a B.S. in Biology (Santa Clara Univ.) and an M.P.A. (George Washington Univ.). I founded the National Organization to Treat A-T, which funds treatment research for a rare disease that my son had. My greatest privilege has been to be Mom to my three children.
Professional history includes adjunct faculty-UT Austin. Before moving here in 1983, I lived in Washington, D.C. where I was an LBJ Congressional intern, worked on campaigns, and for the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. I was Evaluation Research Fellow at the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health.
Published research includes an outcome study on residential placement of emotionally disturbed youth. I was principal researcher on other outcome studies(Family Preservation Program, Austin-Travis County MHMR, Austin Children's Museum). My dissertation research addressed the clinical effects of trace alcohols (present, not labeled, in many processed foods) on children's attentional abilities.
