Resiliency is a word that gets thrown around a lot. But what does it really mean? For most of us it is about recovering quickly from adversity and learning new skills to keep moving forward. Resiliency is the key to better social, physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It is also the result of positive relationships; optimistic realism; self-compassion; healthy coping skills; emotional intelligence; and finding meaning and purpose in life. Therapy is one tool for building resiliency and getting you to where you want to be.
I have over 25 years of experience working with couples and trauma survivors. Trained through Gottman Level 3 Couples Therapy and also Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Trained in Cultural Responsiveness and addressing Cultural Trauma and Adversity using EMDR Therapy. Certified in EMDR, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and Trauma Focused CBT.
I offer a free 15 minute phone consult so that you can decide whether my services are the right fit for you and your needs. I also believe that therapy should be accessible for all of us. So, I offer a sliding fee scale to support your individual goals and needs.
