The more we know the better off we are! Have you ever wondered why you do what you do, react the way you react or behave the way you behave? Sometimes, we truly do not know. My "office" is judgment free! I put much focus in on building trust and rapport with my clients, so the therapeutic process is as comfortable as possible. Therapy can seem so overwhelming and complex, but it doesn't have to be like that. Sometimes were just missing the little things (that seem big). Let me help you figure it out!
I am not your "typical" therapist. I have a very straight forward to point personality and I use humor (when appropriate) to lighten the therapeutic process. Counseling is hard enough as it is, it is even worse if you are uncomfortable. No one is perfect not even us therapist. I love Jesus (and I don't care if you don't) and I say bad words.
As a reality-based therapist, I find our basic needs in life to be extremely important. Our sessions will consist of a mix between information gathering, brief but necessary visits to the past, understanding and accepting our behaviors and learning techniques to change unwanted behaviors and control those things that at one time still controlled us.
