It Begins Within exists to help you heal from a painful past, cope with a difficult present, and instill hope for the future. You don’t need to wait until your life is falling apart to receive help. Everyone needs therapy at any given season of their life. Seeking outside help does not mean you’re weak. In fact, it proves your courage and commitment to living life to the fullest

Our therapists use a strengths-based approach with clients. Our belief is that everyone has innate strengths, and implementing their strengths into the therapeutic process will help clients heal. We choose this approach over forcing clients to fit into therapeutic techniques that may not result in positive outcomes for them.

Helping Children Thrive With Emotional Regulation

This weekly summer group is designed to support children (ages 5-9) in developing healthy emotional regulation, setting appropriate personal boundaries, and building essential social skills. Through engaging, small-group sessions (max 6 participants), children will learn to express their feelings, relate to peers, and self-soothe in healthy ways. Ideal for kids who may struggle with peer interactions, big emotions, or impulse control.

Mindful Teens - Summer DBT Support Group

Hosted by

This summer, we’re offering a DBT-based group designed specifically for high school students (Ages 14-17) who would benefit from additional support alongside their individual therapy. The group will focus on building practical coping skills, fostering peer connection, and encouraging creative expression—all within a supportive, mindfulness-based environment. Ideal for teens who may not require a higher level of care but could use structured guidance and community. Current or recent participation in individual therapy is highly encouraged.
